Phoebe Berks Health Care Center offers a full range of medical and nursing services administered by our highly skilled staff in a home-like setting. The Health Care Center is part of a full-scale retirement community with independent living and personal care services.

Memory support

Phoebe Berks offers award-winning memory support/dementia care services at two different levels of care: personal care (similar to assisted living) and skilled nursing. Through Montessori programming, we strive to engage residents’ strengths and interests in an environment designed for their success. No matter your or your loved one’s needs, we’re committed to making the senior years with us the best they can be.

The Chateau at Berks Health Care Center

The Chateau at Phoebe Berks offers memory support services in an 18-bed neighborhood designed for residents with early to mid-stages of Alzheimer’s disease or a dementia-related diagnosis. In addition to the features of our personal care memory support neighborhood, the Chateau offers dedicated nursing staff on all shifts and memory support community life staff. We also offer access to psychiatric services through the Reading Hospital Willows Program.

Licensure

For skilled nursing, Phoebe’s communities are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and are Medicare and Medicaid Certified.

Payment

For skilled nursing, we accept most insurance, HMOs, and commercial coverages.
