Phoebe Richland Celebrates Residents Over 100!

In a grand celebration of birthdays, health, and longevity, Phoebe Richland hosted a musical party for its four centenarian residents.

Residents and family members gathered in Meadow Glen Personal Care’s multi-purpose room for an upbeat performance by local musician Sheila Milz. Armed with an acoustic guitar and an assortment of hats and props that helped her embody the vibe of each song, Milz delivered a joyful performance complete with dancing and audience participation.

Four seats were reserved in the front row for the four centenarians being celebrated: Ruth J., Emma B., Narona G., and Mildred W., the latter of whom is now 106. Resident faces lit up as they recognized the songs on display. Some of the centenarians even got up to dance!

Milz’s tunes brightened the room, and residents enjoyed celebrating with their peers.

Shortly after the performance, the centenarians moved to a separate room with their families, where they were served wine, cake, fruit, and cookies. They were then gifted a flower bouquet, and families took a moment to celebrate in private before they wrapped up the event.

It’s incredible to see our residents thriving at such a remarkable age. We wish Ruth, Emma, Narona, and Mildred the healthiest of years ahead, and are proud to be serving them.
