In honor of our country and veterans, Phoebe Richland hosted a robust Memorial/Flag Day program featuring local officials, music, and heartfelt tributes to those who gave everything.
Residents of Meadow Glen Personal Care gathered near the dining area for the morning program’s start. Mitch Huston, Sales Advisor, took great care in putting the event together and acted as the program’s host.
Advent Brass, a group of local musicians, rang in the event with an introductory prelude. The group would play two other patriotic odes throughout the program, including “Nearer My God to Thee” and “America.”
Quakertown’s Wallace Willard Keller American Legion Post #242 introduced the Colors Presentation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem.
Ron Lintner then delivered the Gettysburg Address following a Memorial Day Remembrance piece.
After a moment of prayer and a performance of TAPS by Doug Smith and Bryan Gerhab, Richlandtown Mayor Wayne Codner took the podium and expressed gratitude to the residents in attendance who have served in the military. He touched on a few resident stories and expressed his delight at how jovial the residents of Phoebe Richland are.
The program was one of deep appreciation and reflection as the community considered some of the most significant sacrifices in human history. We thank everyone who attended the event for making it the best it could be.
Phoebe Ministries would like to thank those who served in the military for their bravery. We are proud to serve those same people through quality senior care.
