On December 6, 2024, Phoebe Ministries Chief Operating Officer (COO) Robert “Bob” Richards entered retirement with nearly a decade of service to the Phoebe community.
Richards joined Phoebe in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Finance and was later promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2017. His extensive background in finance and past work experience within the healthcare industry, namely with Good Samaritan Health System and Montgomery Hospital, made him a vital resource for the company.
After being promoted to COO in January 2022, Richards sustained the growth and success of Phoebe Ministries thanks to his ability to build strong relationships both in and outside of the company. It’s in this role that he oversaw Health Care Services, Pharmacy Operations, Marketing, Sales, Pathstones, Human Resource Administration, and Retirement Housing Operations.
Richards’ leadership style always put other people first. Those he worked with looked up to him with great respect and he leaves Phoebe grateful for having worked for the company, confident in its future.
“[Richards is] a talented financial leader who had a wonderful impact,” says President & CEO Scott Stevenson. “He has a broad spectrum of skills that have benefited our ministry. He’s also a very open and likable leader who leaves the organization with the admiration and respect of his colleagues. He will certainly be missed.”
Phoebe Ministries wishes Bob a happy and relaxing retirement and thanks him for his loyal support to the company.
