Allentown Health Care Center Welcomes Comforting Home Care by Phoebe Team

On Friday, October 25, Comforting Home Care by Phoebe hosted an open house at the Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center to celebrate the opening of their newest office.

The company has been a partner of Phoebe Ministries for nearly a decade, initially selected based on their high-quality, client-oriented work. This new office location (in addition to their already established office at Phoebe Berks) marks the next step in expanding Phoebe’s in-home senior care efforts.

The open house—catered with a variety of fresh sandwiches, pasta, fruits, and beverages—allowed the team to formally introduce themselves to the Phoebe community and explain their mission.

Tammie Worley, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and the Director of Home Care for Comforting Home Care by Phoebe has a long history of serving the Phoebe community as a former Nurse Manager at Phoebe Berks. Worley explained that having offices within Phoebe allows for a more intimate and effective client-provider relationship.

“Having that rapport with Phoebe staff is huge,” said Worley.

According to Worley, Comforting Home Care by Phoebe’s client-centered model sets it apart from other in-home senior care providers. The company enlists nurses in non-medical home care instead of having businesspeople “run the show.”

With nurses overseeing clients, Worley aims to keep families better informed about the level of care their loved ones need.

During the open house, various Phoebe staff members dropped by to get to know the team and congratulate the Comforting Home Care by Phoebe team on their new space.

“We are so excited to be on campus,” said Worley. “We’ve been partnered with Phoebe for a while, and we work really well as a team. We are thrilled to be that much closer to our residents and clients to provide quality care.”

Comforting Home Care by Phoebe serves the Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties. To learn more, please visit comfortinghome.com.
