Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center has achieved a 5-star rating with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)!
The Five-Star Quality Rating System has been in place with the CMS since October of 2019. It evaluates nursing homes to help consumers, families, and caregivers compare and select a continuing care facility.
Facilities are given ratings in three separate categories: Health Inspections, Staffing, and Quality Measures. The health inspection rating is based on the three most recent health inspections, and is gathered by trained and objective inspectors. With a dedicated team and hard work over the past year, Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center increased to a 4-star rating in the health inspection category. With a 5-star rating in Quality Measures, this boosted the overall rating, making us a 5-star facility!
Executive Director Sue Schlener is thankful for the hard work put forth to accomplish this goal, and looks forward to celebrating this accomplishment with the entire Allentown team. “I am so proud of the years of work we have put into this, to improve from a 4-star to a 5-star,” Schlener says. “I appreciate all of the staff’s hard work and dedication to the residents and Phoebe, and we achieved this during a pandemic!”
