Personal Care FAQs
Here is a list of frequently asked questions about Phoebe’s Personal Care communities:
Q. How do I determine what level of care my loved one needs?
A. Generally, an individual is appropriate for personal care if he or she is safe behind closed doors and needs help in only two or three activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, or taking medication. Should an individual need assistance in more activities of daily living, then they are usually better suited for skilled nursing. You can talk with one of our admissions specialists to determine which level of care is best for your loved one.
Q. Are meals included?
A. Yes! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in a dining room. Well-stocked kitchenettes with snacks, milk, cereal, and juices are on every floor.
Q. Is housekeeping included?
A. Yes, housekeeping cleans rooms weekly.
Q. Do you provide laundry services?
A. Laundry services are available for a monthly fee. A laundry room is also available for those who choose to do their own laundry.
Q. Are the rooms furnished? May I bring some of my own furniture?
A. Rooms come furnished with a bed, dresser, chair and nightstand. However, you are welcome to bring your own chair, dresser, or nightstand, if you wish.
Q. Do the rooms have televisions?
A. We ask that you bring your own TV. If you choose to bring one, your cable bill will be included in your rent.
