Phoebe Berks residents were treated to a vibrant day of colorful critters and flowers with a trip to Hershey Gardens.
Clear skies and sunny weather graced the group of residents, staff, and family members as they arrived for the day. Residents enjoyed a lunch at the picnic tables just outside the Butterfly Atrium to start their afternoon.
Shortly after, the group made their way inside, where they were greeted with hundreds of different butterfly variants from around the world. Butterfly wings of all different shapes, styles, and sizes flapped around every inch of the room. There was always a beautiful and delicate creature within reach.
Some residents were even lucky enough to have a butterfly land on them!
The habitat also featured other animals such as frogs, spiders, and hissing cockroaches.
The rest of the afternoon was spent exploring the expansive grounds of the Hershey Gardens. Residents passed by rows upon rows of multi-colored flowers, taking in the sights.
There were also themed gardens, such as the Japanese Garden and the Senses Garden. The former contained bridges overlooking koi ponds, whereas the latter immersed residents in the scents and textures of plants.
The group paused for a photo before heading back home to Phoebe Berks, having experienced all the wonder that Hershey Gardens has to offer.
