An All-Out, Aquatic Feast at Phoebe Allentown

Residents of The Terrace at Phoebe Allentown enjoyed an incredible sea-themed dinner on Friday, July 18.

No details were spared during the planning of this event. The Community Life team’s vision completely transformed The Terrace into an aquatic venue. Shades of blue adorned the walls and pillars with hand-crafted sea creatures serving as accent pieces.

A makeshift bar was set up in the lobby, where Residential Services Coordinator Carmela Simmons and Independent Living Manager Mary Molloy served up custom mixed drinks.

As residents made their way through the common areas, they were greeted with tables filled with surf and turf, vegetables, soups, desserts, and more. The dining services team helped coordinate the event and wore tropical shirts as they mingled with residents. The spread was quite impressive and featured fresh cuts of meat.

“They do a fantastic job,” said resident Alice Moser. She, like many other residents in attendance, wore some of their best clothing to match the event’s refined atmosphere.

As guests took their seats, musical duo Robin and Jim performed a classy set of recognizable jazz tunes. They were joined by guest musician Rob Stoneback of The Rob Stoneback Big Band, who performed on vocals and trombone.

After dinner, some residents danced to the music in their beautiful outfits. Dining staff gleefully joined in on the festivities and danced with residents.

The event was a vibrant display of life at The Terrace, and residents left happy to have attended.
