 General responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the delivery of nursing care to the residents and maintains consistency in the daily operation of the nursing unit
  • Communicates/interacts effectively with residents and staff
  • Coordinating work within the unit as well as with other units and departments.
  • Assess residents on an on-going basis, analyze information to develop or revise care plans
  • Coordinates admission, discharge, and transfer of residents
  • Make daily rounds to assess physical and emotional status; implement any required nurse interventions
  • Oversee Nursing Assistants in completing their assignments; directs workflow; orients new employees; provide performance coaching sessions
  • Ensure an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well being of all residents in a safe secure environment
  • Responding to inquiries and requests from residents, staff personnel, etc.
  • Overseeing Nursing Assistants in completing their assignments.

Basic Qualifications Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current Pennsylvania license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

Skills: Ability to demonstrate the clinical skills your direct reports are expected to perform; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities; supervisory skills sufficient to manage a small group of employees; current CPR certification (or eligibility and pursue of certification). Courier – Per Diem – Colmar

Phoebe Ministries, a multi-facility nonprofit organization specializing in health care, housing, and rehabilitative services for older adults, is seeking an experienced Per Diem Courier/Driver to join our long-term-care pharmacy team at our Colmar, Pennsylvania location.

Responsibilities include providing courier service for long term care facilities in all weather, as well as assistance with other tasks as needed. There may be local and long distance routes up to 90 miles away.  A vehicle and all necessary tools (GPS, phone, EZ Pass, etc.) are provided. Schedule is established with on-call opportunities and requires flexible availability.  In addition to weekday hours, there is a weekend rotation.  Dependability, reliability, world class customer service skills and a clean driving record are a must!

Pharmacy Technician – Part Time – Colmar

Phoebe Ministries, a not-for-profit, a multi-facility organization specializing in health care, housing, and rehabilitative services for older adults, is searching for a Part Time Pharmacy Technician for our new long-term-care pharmacy located in Colmar, Pennsylvania.

This candidate would be working Monday through Friday, 8:00am-1:00pm

Responsibilities will include filling prescriptions, packaging drugs, maintaining drug inventory and other duties to support staff pharmacists in servicing our nursing and retirement housing facilities.  Previous experience is desired. The scheduled hours for these positions will be discussed during the interview process. The ideal candidates will possess great computer skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Sales Associate – Full Time – Emmaus

Phoebe Ministries, a multi-facility nonprofit organization specializing in health care, housing, and rehabilitative services for older adults, is searching for a Sales Associate for our Chestnut Ridge at Rodale location.

Primary responsibilities will include:
The Associate is responsible for generating and cultivating new leads, following-up on inquiries, and answering questions about the community. This role manages all information related to the prospective resident/inquiry, including accurately documenting of all contacts in Matrixcare CRM. Additionally, this role conducts telemarketing and sales presentations, completes a minimum set goal of phone contacts per week, and provides follow-up of collateral material mailed in a timely manner. The Sales Associate also welcomes prospective residents and guests to the sales and marketing office, receiving all persons who enter the sales and marketing office in a courteous and congenial manner. The Sales Associate provides back-up support for RegionalSales Manager/Sales Advisor as directed to promote the sales process through ongoing contact with a prospective resident resulting in hitting or exceeding sales goals for the community.

Education:
College degree in Marketing, Business, Education or Psychology preferred.

Skills/Experience:
Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone effectively to both large and small groups. Must be able to display a friendly, trusting personality on first impression and have the knowledge of and special sensitivity to the needs of the aging. Must possess the ability to interact with the public in a professional manner and the ability to handle a wide variety of duties and responsibilities along with the ability to provide detailed information and multitask. Must work well in a fast paced environment. Requires the use of judgment to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.

Prefer at least two years’ experience in comparable sales or similar position in related field. Computer skills, math skills, typing experience and the ability to work with general office equipment is a must. Experience in previously using CRM software strongly preferred.

Education

Speech Therapist – Wyncote (Per Diem)

Phoebe Ministries a not-for-profit, Continuing Care Retirement Community, is seeking interested Speech Therapists to join our Therapy department on a per diem basis to work in our Wyncote campus.

Education
Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorder and attainment of Certification of Clinical competence in speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Skills
Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, staff, care-givers, management, physicians, and related interdisciplinary professionals, internally and externally in verbal and written modalities, sometimes via telephone. Must have precise accurate articulation, hearing with normal limits (aided or un-aided) and audible voice for verbal communication, for analysis of patients speech utterances, and for providing accurate speech models. Must have good interpersonal skills and work appropriately with persons of varied ages, racial, ethnic and sociological background.

Experience
Two or more years’ experience in providing clinical services in acute or post-acute health care setting and to medically stable outpatients of all ages, is preferred.

General Responsibilities 
The Speech Pathologist provides diagnostic evaluation/screening, treatment and counseling services to inpatients (geriatric adults) with the following communication and /or swallowing disorders of: adult receptive and expressive language, higher level cognitive-linguistic functions, articulation, fluency, oral musculature weakness/in coordination, apraxia, dysphagia and voice-including laryngectomy. The Speech Pathologist prepares written reports/records relative to assessment of patients, development/implementation of Plan of Care, re-evaluation/discharge summaries and education/counseling of patients and/or care-givers. She communicates in writing and/or verbally, the results of assessment/treatment and other significant findings to the patients, physician(s), and interdisciplinary professionals involved in the patient’s care. The position as such, requires a significant degree of independent judgment in the performance of clinical services, administrative duties, and Quality Assessment and Improvement responsibilities for the Speech Pathology department.
