Phoebe Ministries Messenger Magazine Receives Gold Marcom Award
Allentown, PA—The Greatest Generation Issue of The Phoebe Messenger magazine was awarded a Gold MarCom Award in the non-profit newsletter category. The 2013 international awards competition recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Over 6,500 entries were submitted from the United States, Canada and several other countries in the 2013 competition. Only 22 percent of entrants received a gold award.
The Summer 2013 Issue of The Phoebe Messenger was dedicated to members of the Greatest Generation who reside in Phoebe communities. The special issue featured residents who witnessed the devastation at Pearl Harbor, women and men who liberated concentration camps and pilots who risked their lives flying over the Himalayas or faced freezing temperatures in the Battle of the Bulge. It also incorporated a full list of Phoebe residents, staff and volunteers who served in the military.
The MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
