Phoebe Institute on Aging Fall Conference a Success!
Over 250 professionals and members of the community attended the Fall Phoebe Institute on Aging conference which featured a keynote by Jeffrey C. Bauer, Ph.D., LLC, FAANP (H), a Health Futurist and Medical Economist.
The conference was presented by Key Bank and focused on envisioning the future of aging by finding inspiration in the current dynamic health care and political environments. Speakers, such as Bauer and six breakout session presenters, explored opportunities and trends in order to forecast care needs and services in the next 20 years.
One of the most inspiring parts of the conference was a screening of three short films that featured intergenerational housing models that are currently in place in Scandinavia.
Break-out sessions centered on the topics of partnerships in the industry, innovation, sex-positive environments, dementia services, community health workers, and communication technology for older adults.
Representatives from U.S. Senator Pat Toomey’s office and U.S. Senator Bob Casey’s office were in attendance and provided valuable information to those who care for older adults.
The Spring Phoebe Institute on Aging conference will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at DeSales University and will focus on Customer Driven Culture. Click here for more information in the new year!
