Phoebe Announces Staff Changes

Phoebe is pleased to announce the following changes in staffing:

Darren Morris was promoted to Regional Director of Admissions for Phoebe and will oversee the admissions staff at Phoebe’s continuing care retirement communities in Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, and Montgomery counties.

Previously, Morris was Director of Admissions for Phoebe Allentown, and facilitated admissions for the health care center and for the David A. Miller Personal Care Community. In this position, he oversaw all aspects of the admissions process, standardized data collection, and analyzed market and referral trends to make recommendations for future referral opportunities.

Prior to joining the Phoebe team in 2015, Morris had 12 years of experience in long term care and rehabilitation admissions. A resident of Easton, Morris received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Rutgers University.

 Amy Aulenbach, PCHA, was appointed Administrator of Meadow Glen Personal Care Community at Phoebe Richland in Richlandtown. She is responsible for the administration, programming and management of Meadow Glen, including the health, safety, and well-being of residents.

Designed as an addition to the Phoebe Richland campus, Meadow Glen opened in 2016 and is a 75,000 square foot, two story building offering personal careconnected to the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center.

Aulenbach has served as the interim administrator of Meadow Glen since February of this year. Prior to that, Aulenbach was the Memory Support Manager and Program Director for the Village Gardens Personal Care Community and Tranquility Place, an adult day center, both at Phoebe Berks in Wernersville.

Aulenbach joined Phoebe in 1993 as a licensed practical nurse and also served as a resident care supervisor at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center during her almost 25 years with the organization.

A resident of Lenhartsville, Aulenbach received an LPN certificate from Lehigh County Community College and a personal care home administrator license from Penn State, Schuylkill Campus.

Lorna Malawi, was recently appointed Administrator of Phoebe Berks Health Care Center.  In this position she is responsible for the overall operations of the 102 bed skilled nursing center, including the short term rehabilitation, memory support and long term care service lines.

Previously, Malawi was Administrator at Reliant Senior Care, part of Priority HealthCare Group,
and was responsible for the leadership of a skilled nursing facility in Stevens, PA. Prior to that, she served as the Assistant Nursing Home Administrator for Reliant Senior Care.

A resident of Lebanon, Malawi graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Arts from Delaware State University, a Master’s of Science Degree in Community Counseling from Wilmington University, and a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in Washington D.C. She also earned a Professional Human Resources Management Certificate (HRMC) from Villanova University and is a licensed nursing home administrator and personal care home administrator.
