Conference on Customer Driven Culture in Senior Care Offered by the Phoebe Institute on Aging

Allentown, PA – The Phoebe Institute on Aging is offering a conference to educate aging services professionals and family caregivers about customer driven culture as a model of care. Speakers will explore an exciting new direction in the way we work with older adults, as well as its effect on family caregiving and dementia care.

Building a Customer Driven Culture, presented by Cura Hospitality, will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at DeSales University, University Center, 2755 Station Ave, Center Valley, PA 18034. Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7:15 a.m.

The fee for the conference is $25 and includes a continental breakfast, a morning program, buffet lunch and a full afternoon of breakout session programs.

The keynote presenter at the conference is Anna Ortigara, RN, MS, FAAN, Organizational Change Consultant, PHI Consulting Services. Her intensive morning presentation and workshop will provide a highly experiential glimpse into the four core elements of person directed living, the ultimate expression of elder empowerment that effectively shifts power and focus to the elder and the elder’s closest care partners.

The afternoon will feature three segments of break-out sessions which will center on the topics of person directed teams, the Rock Steady boxing program for those living with Parkinson’s disease, exploring new models of care, innovative programs involving people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and gathering information about a loved one in order to provide care according to their wishes.

Applications have been submitted for Nursing Home Administrator, Personal Care Home Administrator, Social Work, Community Life, Nursing, and Pastoral Care credits.
