Dedicated Staff Unfazed by Storm Stella

The snowstorm on March 14 dumped up to up to two feet of snow and sleet throughout most of Pennsylvania and affected all Phoebe communities. Despite the poor weather conditions, dedicated staff at all four of our continuing care retirement communities worked tirelessly from Monday night into Wednesday to assure residents continued to receive seamless care.

Maintenance and Environmental Services staff at all Phoebe communities worked extra hours to clear roads, plow parking lots, clean off cars for staff and residents, and transport employees to and from work.

Tracy Roman, Executive Director of Phoebe Richland expressed her gratitude saying, “I am personally so thankful for all of our staff who made it in to work or stayed over. Every department was well-staffed and things ran smoothly.”

Leadership, direct care, social work, dining, maintenance, housekeeping, environmental services, and other staff members at all four of our communities slept in their offices or in vacant resident rooms and worked extra shifts to make sure they were available at any time during the storm. This is not the first time Phoebe staff has gone above and beyond for our residents during a storm, and it certainly won’t be the last!
