Phoebe Allentown, a premier provider of healthcare and rehabilitative services to older adults, is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse (Nursing Supervisor) to join our team. This candidate will work the following shift: 7:00 am-7:00 pm (weekends only)
Candidate will work every weekend: one weekend as a charge nurse, and one weekend as a nursing supervisor.
Primary responsibility: Responsible for managing the nursing services on assigned shift; implementing strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department; insuring the department’s compliance with policies and procedures as well as outside regulatory requirements; organizing the work and activities of the department; communicating with appropriate personnel; directly supervising assigned personnel; providing periodic reports; assisting with implementation and monitoring of new programs; acting as a clinical resource person to the staff.
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current Pennsylvania license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Skills: Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; knowledge of drug interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities; demonstrated management and supervisory skills; thorough knowledge of current long-term care nursing practices in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health long-term care licensure regulations; ability to lift, bend, push, and pull; current C.P.R. certification (or eligibility and pursuit of certification).
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as a charge nurse in a long-term care geriatric setting normally required.
