Phoebe Allentown is seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our dedicated care team in our Community Life Department. This part time position assists with the planning, presentation and implementation of programs, daily activities and special events for our residents. The ideal applicant will possess superior communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of energy, creativity, and imagination, along with the desire to help our residents enjoy their days to the fullest. Prior experience working with an elderly population is preferred but not necessary.
Education: Currently a college student who has completed at least two years and is majoring in music.
Skills: Excellent people skills, good listener, proficient in an instrument or voice with ability to lead programs for residents in both one-on-one and group settings and to provide special music for worship services, chaplain chats, and other pastoral care and community life programing, ability to use other instruments and recorded music to relate to and draw out residents, team player, caring and compassionate
Experience: Prior history with long term care setting is preferred but not required. Any experience in worship leadership in others settings is beneficial.
