Construction of Meadow Glen, our Phoebe Richland personal care community addition, is on schedule for a summer completion. Designed as an addition to the current Phoebe Richland campus, the new 72,000 square foot, two story building will be situated to the south of The Cottage, Phoebe Richland’s memory support neighborhood, and will have a connection to the Health Care Center. It will feature four neighborhoods, two on each story with 72 studio and one bedroom apartments, and four semi-private rooms. Meadow Glen is scheduled to accept its first residents in October.

The connecting area between the healthcare center and the new personal care community is now complete and features a new chapel, a receiving area, offices and a new kitchen which will serve both communities. Renovations to the existing structure will continue this summer as the current kitchen is transformed in to a café with an open second level mezzanine. Additional office and conference room space will also be located in this area.

Personal care communities, similar to assisted living, provide support for activities such as bathing, dressing and taking medication. They can also assist with meal preparation or housekeeping. Both regular personal care and secure memory support options will be available on the Phoebe Richland campus. Amenities will include a library, game room, chapel, rehab gym, a private physician’s office, enclosed porches, salon and café area.
