The Super Bowl was extra special this year, with eastern Pennsylvania’s home team, the Philadelphia Eagles, playing the Kanas City Chiefs! Each Phoebe campus went all out to celebrate this moment in football history.

Phoebe Allentown held a pep rally on the Friday before Super Bowl Sunday in anticipation of the game. Staff and residents decked themselves out in Eagles gear and gathered to hear Nazareth Area High School students play the Eagle’s Victory Song. Phoebe Berks threw their annual Super Bowl party with snacks and football-themed games. Some lucky winners received fun football-themed prizes. On Super Bowl Sunday, residents gathered to watch the game live, all at the edge of their seats until the bitter end.

Phoebe Richland and Wyncote celebrated with Super Bowlwatch parties as well. Residents dressed in their Philly sweatshirts and jerseys, and cheered for their home team. Staff also decorated and wore their favorite team. Most everyone was in green, but a few brave souls wore red! Wyncote held a Super Bowl watch party with Philadelphia staple snacks, including famous Philly pretzels.

Although our home team lost, the Philadelphia Eagles spirit flew high throughout January and February at Phoebe!
