The Phoebe Golf Tournament kicked off at 11:00 on Monday, August 12, with more than 275 golfers, and a reprise of the popular helicopter golf ball drop courtesy of Nolan A. Perin. The winner of the $2,500 golf ball drop prize was Denise Machin, Assistant Director of Nursing at Phoebe Richland, who will be donating $500 of her winnings back to Phoebe.
Now in its eleventh year, the Golf Tournament is one of Phoebe’s largest fund drives. This year, the golf tournament raised over $100,000 in support of charitable care at Phoebe’s communities.
Perfect weather along with two Phoebe residents greeted golfers as they made their way to their course for a fun outing! Dinner included a delicious cocktail hour and meal, concluding with an award ceremony. Towards the end of the ceremony, Miller Personal Care at 19th & Chew resident Loretta Delabar, an enthusiastic participant in community life activities and talented seamstress who lends her talents to residents and staff alike, gave a wonderful speech thanking all those who support charitable care.
