Every 67 seconds someone in United States develops Alzheimer’s disease. Locally, health officials and political leaders are trying to address the growing issue. Among them, is Senator Pat Toomey. At the Phoebe Institute on Aging Fall Conference at DeSales University, the focus is Alzheimer’s. “There is a tidal wave of impact coming in Alzheimer’s. right now there are 5 million people who are impacted that is going to triple in the next couple of years,” said Phoebe Ministries President and CEO Scott Stevenson.
