Lincoln Leadership Academy Students Thank Phoebe Residents with Performance

The second grade class at Lincoln Leadership Academy wanted to show their appreciation for Christmas gifts donated by Phoebe’s Faith in Action Services team to some of the school’s needy families. The school planned a very thoughtful thank-you visit to Phoebe Allentown; they decided spread joy to Phoebe Allentown’s memory support residents!

Students visited the Bridgeways and Legacy Place memory support neighborhoods and performed three songs, including their own rendition of the classic “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”, a cheerful message for residents dealing with symptoms of cognitive impairment. Residents smiled and clapped while some even sang along while the students performed, bonding the two generations through the power of art and music.
