Support groups at Phoebe are regularly scheduled gatherings to help those in need. All of our support groups are open to the public at no charge.
The combination of education and emotional support enables attendees to feel better at the end of the meeting. Groups remind their members that they are not alone and give members a chance to say what they are feeling in a supportive environment. Here, members can learn new strategies and foster support networks. Each group has its own character and each meeting is different.
Alzheimer’s Association Support Group
This group provides support to those who have a loved one suffering from dementia—either Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Participating in this support group has numerous benefits such as sharing in the company of others facing similar situations, education, and developing problem solving techniques and stress management skills.
