Allentown, PA - Phoebe Ministries is pleased to announce the following changes in staffing:
Mary Kay McMahon, RN, NHA, was recently appointed Executive Director, Phoebe Berks, Wernersville. Her responsibilities include directing and coordinating the overall operations of a Continuing Care Retirement Community consisting of 223 apartments, 51 cottages, a personal care community, a 120-bed skilled intermediate nursing facility and an adult day center. As Executive Director, she will oversee the development and implementation of all programs and service offerings.
McMahon served as Administrator, Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, Bucks County since 2002. She has been with Phoebe Ministries since 1996 when she was employed as Assistant Director of Nursing at Phoebe Allentown. In 2001 she was promoted to Director of Nursing at Phoebe Richland. McMahon came to Phoebe from Allentown Osteopathic Medical Center, where she served as Manager of Critical Care Nursing, A/D/T Coordinator, medical-surgical staff nurse and critical care staff nurse.
McMahon graduated from the College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL, earning a bachelor’s degree in Health Arts and a master’s in Health Services Administration. She earned her nursing diploma at Pittston Hospital School of Nursing. McMahon resides in Allentown.
Tracy Roman RN, MBA, NHA was appointed Administrator, Phoebe Richland Health Care Center.
She is responsible for the overall operations of the 120-bed long and short-term care facility and two units of independent living on the Continuing Care Retirement campus. In addition, she will work on developing, implementing, and overseeing programs and services which promote the physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of residents.
Employed by Phoebe since 2000, Roman was previously Assistant Administrator, Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center. Prior to that, she served as Director of Nursing at Phoebe Richland.
Roman earned an MBA in Health Care Systems Management from DeSales University and a Bachelor of Science from Kutztown University. She is a resident of Bethlehem.
Sally Prior, BA, NHA, PCHA, was promoted to Assistant Administrator, Phoebe Allentown. In this position, she will assist the Executive Director of the Phoebe Allentown Campus in managing and directing the day-to-day functions of the campus in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. In addition, she will supervise the David A. Miller Personal Care Community, Housekeeping and Laundry Services, Dining Services, Clinic Services, Salon Services, Community Life, and Health Information Management.
Prior joined Phoebe in 2004 as Director of Admissions and Marketing, Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. She served as Assistant Administrator at Phoebe Richland since April 2012.
Prior received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY. She is a resident of Bethlehem.
Chelsea Truppi was named Director of Admissions, Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. In this role she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the admissions process and marketing programs including moving prospective inquiries through the admissions process to residency.
Truppi was hired as a Marketing Liaison at Phoebe Richland in 2010. Prior to that, she served as the Marketing Director/Admissions Coordinator at Easton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Truppi received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies, East Stroudsburg University, completed a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from Cedar Crest College and is currently working toward a MSW/LCSW from the University of New England. She is a resident of Bethlehem.
