Phoebe Berks offers two personal care neighborhoods for individuals requiring a moderate amount of assistance with various activities of daily living. Phoebe Berks Village Commons offers standard personal care, and Phoebe Berks Village Gardens offers the same level of standard personal care coupled with memory support services
- 51 furnished private rooms (double rooms available for couples)
- Residential dining room featuring open dining times and service from steam tables so food is always fresh and at the right temperature
- Dining room is open 24 hours a day with refreshments always available
- Located eight miles west of Reading, Pennsylvania on the same campus as Phoebe Berks Health Care Center and Phoebe Berks Village, a community of 205 apartments and 66 cottages for senior adults
- Village Community Center offering cafe, bank, beauty/barber shop, gift shop, chapel, and library
- Activity and game rooms
- Supervised wellness program with classes led by a fitness coordinator
- Massage Therapy
- Chaplaincy program
- Landscaped outdoor space
- Availability to off campus events with frequent bus trips
- Private lounges and lobby
Ask about Phoebe's Telemedicine collaboration with Lehigh Valley Health Network. Phoebe clients and residents with Parkinson's disease have access to a neurologist during virtual, confidential appointments without the difficulty of making an outside medical appointment.
Village Gardens provides personal care with a specialized activity program for those who benefit from memory support services. The community consists of 25 private rooms with landscaped outdoor space for residents to enjoy.
Phoebe Berks' personal care residences are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.
Private pay is generally the payment method for personal care services.
Limited funds are available for those individuals on Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
